I’m Aileen, and I love to bake cake. Obvious, right? I’ve wanted to start a baking blog for the longest time, but I didn’t want to start it until I thought of a good name. This is it. My humble blog of my baking adventures.
Cake isn’t the only thing I like to bake, but it is something I enjoy a little too much. Cupcakes are amazing, in all flavors and frostings. All deserts are free game, and I’m always looking for a challenging recipe, unique flavors, and huge projects to tackle.
I live in the Bay Area in Northern California, and all my baking successes and failures take place in a tiny apartment kitchen during my free time. I do have a full-time job, so most of my baking is either done at night, or on the weekends, after I’ve slept in without setting an alarm clock. So if you’re wondering why some of my amateur pictures have a yellowish hue to it, it’s the cheap apartment lighting. I’m still working on nailing the photography thing down.
